The Great Battle: The Perfect Time vs. The Right Time

The Great Battle: The Perfect Time vs. The Right Time

Your imaginations are wild, and you are not in the clique of people who 'dream small'. If all the ideas in your head magically turned to reality tonight, the world wouldn't be the same again.

Those ideas are hot shots - you are so sure - the only problem you haven't got the perfect time to start.

The Right Time Doesn't Have to be Perfect.

“To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven” – Ecclesiastes 3:1

Champ, I agree with anyone who is the first to start it that there can't always be a perfect time to do things.

But I also believe that there is a RIGHT TIME (proper time) for you to do certain things.

Missing those key moments might not mean you can't do it another time; it would only lead to regrets. "Wished had done this earlier" -- Stuff like that. Sounds familiar?

I'm guilty too. Many times, I have procrastinated about things that should have been done much earlier. What happens later? Regrets. Regrets. Then, new resolutions. Lol.

Perfect Time and Right Time - They Are Not the Same

Towards the rainy season is the RIGHT time for a farmer to grow Yam. But might not be the PERFECT time for him.

How?

Perfect would mean that at that time, he should also have enough money to buy seeds, employ labour and get everything done. But that might not be the case.

To beat the odds, he would later push himself to take a loan and find alternatives to get the job done.

Another farmer, in the same situation, who failed to take any action will miss the planting season and would have to wait for another.

The story has not ended.

The second farmer would later have emergencies requiring A LOT OF MONEY. If he had looked for the means to plant, he would have been doing just fine. But no, he'd end up saying "I wish I had".

This is the point I am trying to pass

The diminishing law of John Rohn, says impractically that the more you linger in doing something, the higher the chances that you wouldn't do those things.

Many times, we feel the urge to carry out a big plan or do a big thing, but we procrastinate over and over again - giving (sorry to say) flimsy excuses.

Champ, against all odds, like Nike will say, JUST DO IT. Don't regret not doing it. Right time is action time, not the perfect time.

  3. Work with Grace and wisdom.
A gradual process to carry out a job intentionally helps to hope for the best to be achieved than never to be responsible in your job and beg. Never procrastinate when work is needed to be done.
