We All Switch Roles - Appreciating People

Appreciating people

It is just so funny how providence always ensures that, in any group, there are people of different characters, behaviour and mindset. There's always that funny dude, the quiet one, the shy one. Even the food mongers and the egoists.

And I do hope I am not the only one who noticed how the roles we play in gatherings switch every now and then.

In one group, you could be the funniest. In another, you are the quietest. On some day, you could even make the list of troublemakers. Are you all of these?

What I have learnt is that circumstance and the kind of people we are surrounded with put us in, sometimes, positions and situations that cause us to be misunderstood; and even just by being ourselves, we could be and mean different things to different people.

Learn to appreciate People

The man who failed to greet you, or the lady who seems to be visionless to you today may matter more than your misconceptions; if you don't open your mind to get more familiar with them, you might probably not know who they really are, the richness of their perspective and the positive influence they would later have on you.

Don't judge people based on first impressions, even second or third... Why? It can be influenced in so many ways.

Honour people. Treat them right. And seek to know better beyond your first touch point, you'd be surprised what you'd find out.

Oh, yea... this too: Ask more questions than just "How are you?".
