My 'Philanthropic' Revelation of Christmas Shared with You

After a long, recovery sleep and some mundane activities, I made my way to the bathroom. It was a few hours to Christmas. There was music gently echoing from my phone's speaker as I played a lyrics video on Youtube. I was christmasy and thankful.

The lyrics were from the song You are God, by Nathaniel Bassey featuring Chigozie Achugo. And just before the video started, a montage of Psalm 46:10 was displayed on the screen.

It reads: "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."

It hit me how firm and instructive the words were. There was absolutely no room for a second-person review. The first sentence said you need to know who you are dealing with, the next He used to reveal what He already knows, what He had arranged.

And at that moment, still listening to the soothing sounds and inspirational lyrics from the two spiritual singers, I concluded that we are a Philanthropic work of God.

It is like a rich man who has everything but finds satisfaction in reaching out and helping his community. If he hadn't, there would be grumbles from every quarter but that is the most that can be done. You can't force him. He can decide to live for himself and his household.

Just imagine: He has numerous angels at his service, an indescribable paradise, a kingdom that will last eternally. He had it all and could have kept it all for himself. But He wanted us to share in it. He wants us to wake up every day to build and live dreams, like you and I are doing right now.  He would go the extra mile for us, he would stop at nothing and Christmas is one other big way He has shown it.

There is no other word to write. Just know that you are highly loved and cherished.

So whether you are celebrating Christmas with a laptop sitting on your lap all day, or at work, home or a fancy place, wherever you may be, I hope you feel loved. And I hope that makes you happy. After all, Christmas is not just a day or a meal; it is a feeling.
