Strategies that Keep You Going When Virality Doesn't

Without planning, many contents and people have gone viral. This is why creators might think about being carefree about their creation and posting habits. However, hooks and clickbait are not everything; they will only spark a fire, like many, that is easily quenched.

To be consistent, methodical and responsive to change are the factors we must uphold in any social media strategy, not only because it is safe, but also because we get to save more time to be positioned where the customer really wants us, saying what they want to hear, how they want to hear it.

Viral content or names are nice to have. We create them with that mind, but we do not know for sure whether what we put will break the internet or not. We only hope.

But there are things we know that are definite which should be the yardstick for a social media lifestyle.

For creating content, it has to be in the realm of understanding for the audience, benefits-focused.

For posting, there are metrics which show you the optimal time to operate on your account and there are best standards that can be followed.

We can choose to ignore or accept. But I will be going more towards the latter side because of 'healthy value over an unhealthy thirst for virality that can't be managed'.

Keep green-ing.
